Classification Of Telescopic Cylinders

Nov 02, 2024

Telescopic cylinders can be divided according to different classification standards, mainly including the following types:

Classification by telescopic stages: Telescopic cylinders can be divided into 2-stage, 3-stage, 4-stage, and 5-stage telescopic cylinders according to the different telescopic stages

Telescopic cylinders 1

Classification by fluid supply times: Telescopic cylinders can be divided into single-acting and double-acting multi-stage hydraulic cylinders according to the different fluid supply times to complete a working cycle. Single-acting multi-stage cylinders are plunger-type telescopic hydraulic cylinders, and double-acting multi-stage hydraulic cylinders are piston-type telescopic hydraulic cylinders

Mixed classification: There is also a telescopic hydraulic cylinder with a piston at the last stage and a plunger at the front multi-stage or first stage

Specific application scenarios: Telescopic hydraulic cylinders are widely used in hydraulic systems of construction machinery and other walking machinery, such as cranes, dump trucks, etc. Its features include long total stroke, short length when not working, compact structure, etc. It is particularly suitable for occasions with large installation size requirements and large working stroke requirements.

Working principle: The telescopic hydraulic cylinder is composed of two or more piston hydraulic cylinders. The piston rod of the previous piston cylinder is the cylinder barrel of the next piston cylinder. When the pressure oil enters from the rodless chamber, the cylinder barrel with the largest piston effective area begins to extend. After reaching the end point, the second cylinder barrel begins to extend, and so on. When retracting, it retracts from small to large.
