Working principle of dump truck cylinder

Dec 15, 2024

The working principle of dump truck cylinder is realized through hydraulic system. Hydraulic cylinder is a device that converts hydraulic energy into mechanical energy and is widely used in various engineering machinery. Its basic working principle is to push the piston to move through the pressure of hydraulic oil, thereby realizing linear motion. In dump trucks, hydraulic cylinders are mainly used to lift or lower the car body to realize automatic unloading.
Working principle
Lifting process: When the car body needs to be lifted, the hydraulic oil is pressurized by the hydraulic pump through manual boost, and the hydraulic oil enters the cylinder and enters the cylinder barrel through the one-way valve. Due to the obstruction of the one-way valve, the hydraulic oil cannot be returned, forcing the piston to move upward, thereby driving the car body to rise.
Lowering process: When the car body needs to be lowered, the hydraulic valve is opened, the hydraulic oil returns to the tank through the control valve, the piston descends under the action of gravity, and the car body is lowered accordingly.
Structure
The hydraulic cylinder of the dump truck is mainly composed of the following parts:
Cylinder barrel: The core part that contains the hydraulic oil and the piston.
Piston: Installed inside the cylinder barrel, it moves up and down with the change of hydraulic oil pressure.
‌Sealing ring‌: Prevent hydraulic oil leakage and ensure system stability.
‌Rod‌: Connect the piston and external mechanical devices to transmit force.
‌End cover‌: Fix and protect internal components‌

Maintenance method
In order to ensure the normal operation of the hydraulic cylinder of the dump truck, daily maintenance is very important:

‌Routine inspection‌: Regularly check the cylinder, hydraulic oil volume, system damage and whether the connection between the connecting rod mechanism is reliable.
‌Pre-use inspection‌: Ensure that the hydraulic oil volume is sufficient, the system is not damaged, and the connecting rod mechanism is intact.
‌During use‌: Be careful not to over-pressure, avoid oil spraying, and protect the threads on the piston rod when disassembling.
‌Maintenance after use‌: Timely troubleshooting, routine inspection and maintenance‌
